69 Camaro

This car will be recieving a new interior replacement kit. We start by stripping the old interior out.

Again a good insulator is put down for sound and heat reflection.

The seat covers were removed to replace the spring pad and fix any broken springs.

As you can see the under side of these need rebuilding.

The center picture shows the broken spring. The far right is the new spring installed.

The rear window trim and dash were in need of repainting. They were sanded down and sprayed with
SEM interior paint.

The new dash was installed and on to the headliner.

The rear speaker grilles were replaced with punched holes for a much cleaner look.

The new sping cover is installed with new insert hold down wires as well.

Next will come the seat cover install.

I prefer to cut around the seat tracks like the factory did so the bolts are hidden.
Many do-it-yourselfers and upholstery shops miss this detail.

Details are important. New tie down wires are installed in the covers as well.
This is done for more than one reason. Many aftermarket companies sew a welting in the tie down sack.
If only the welting is used to hog ring the cover down there will be an indent or bump where every hold down is.
I insert a new wire to keep the seam straight and even.

This close up of the bottom insert shows how straight the wire tie down holds the seam.
The next time you are at a show look at the seats and see how many have indents on the seams.
The Chevelles and Impallas are the most common to show this problem.

This Camaro is ready to be released to the owner for years of enjoyment.
Hope you have enjoyed watching our work.
